I'm Jodie Grannan principal of Parkview Elementary School. The history of our school is young, new, and in the making. Our mission of Parkview stem-focused: science, technology, engineering, and math. Our school team has submitted our STEM certification paperwork for the state of Tennessee and should have a response on the certification this spring. The attendance rate target is to have 95% of students at school every day. Attendance matters and can predict student achievement. Last year we were so close at 94%! Educating families on the importance of being at school has been a focus and reducing chronic absenteeism will be a key in reaching our goal. Thank you for calling each day when your child is absent. On the most current survey results, parents gave raving reviews on teacher and school communication. In our day of technology, the ways we communicate with families has changed and increased. Make sure you have the links on social media to stay informed. Parkview technology needs have been addressed over the years through Bradley County School funds, PVE general funds, and grants written by our teachers. The 5 year plan is for every student to have a device for learning. There are two ways the state of Tennessee measures achievement of students and secondly overtime our school has increased unit growth on our Statewide assessment RT Voss or gross scores were something to celebrate in 2018 floors are also making their way to our students in 2018 grades three through five in the subjects of reading and language arts were 2.2 29.8 in 2018 grades three through five in the subject of math we met our Target at 40.7% of our students scoring proficient Gene test for 3rd through 5th graders April 18th and 2nd to April 30th all of our take benchmark test 21 great strides toward this goal and all of our teachers have signed a commitment stating that they are dedicated to working hard and going above and beyond to make this goal a reality your help now is where students are first in line and we cherish your Partnerships are PTO Works tirelessly and they are part of the body of that contribute to our school in a variety of ways to make your child's Elementary School years exciting and the best they can be. posted Don Ledford Drive if you plan on test driving a View Elementary we are making history
