Bio
Welcome to my Kindergarten classroom! I am so excited that you are here.
I was born and raised in Bradley County and I am a product of Bradley County Schools. I attended Mayfield Elementary (part of the Cleveland City School System) in the 1st and 2nd grades. My 3rd through 6th grades were spent at Oak Grove Elementary. I was a part of the first Jr. High class at Trewhitt Jr. High (now called Lake Forest). I graduated from Bradley Central High School. I love the public school system and appreciate its ability to reach all students!
I spent 20 years working for local businesses before I was able to fulfill my life long dream of being a Kindergarten teacher. While working for local industries like Magic Chef/Maytag (now Whirlpool) and M&M/Mars, I was able to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management.
In 2002 I began my journey to my dream job. I started as an intern at North Lee Elementary while I completed my Masters Degree in education at Lee University. In 2003 I began teaching at Blue Springs Elementary where I taught for 8 years. My first year was in 5th grade. After that, I began teaching Kindergarten and found my passion.
In 2011 our county experienced a terrible storm that closed our little school. I was lucky enough to be able to come to Park View and also lucky enough to keep teaching Kindergarten! I’m so blessed to be a part of this wonderful community of parents, teachers and students! I love coming to work and I love spending my day helping to mold these precious little people into the future of our world!
